Department of Economics and Finance
The department of Economics and Finance at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business introduces students to cutting-edge economic and finance theories and their application to domestic and global issues. Within the Tobin College of Business, the Bachelor of Science degree in either Economics or Finance may be pursued as a terminal degree for students seeking careers in business, banking, securities, insurance, and government. The Department also offers the Economics concentration to students in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. On the graduate level, the Department offers a Master of Science in Forecasting and Planning and an M.B.A. with specializations in Economics, Finance, International Finance, and Financial Services. Programs currently under development include a Master of Science in International Economics and Investment, and an M.B.A. specialization in Financial Engineering.
