Unlocking the Profit Potential of Demand Management

A recent survey on current practices in demand management is featured in the May/June issue of Supply Chain Management Review. It was no surprise that the survey found the top three demand management challenges to be: 1) long lead times, 2) stock-outs, and 3) excess inventory.

When asked about the perceived bottom-line impact of using best practices in demand management, respondents indicated a strong potential upside in profit. Twenty-five percent of those surveyed cited a profit potential of more than 10% through better demand management. And the majority of respondents in smaller companies – with revenues of $2 billion and under – saw the potential margin improvement as 10 percent or greater.

Hundreds of supply chain executives emphasized what John Galt customers have already experienced — fewer out-of-stocks and decreased inventory. And it all adds up to a healthier bottom line. To learn more about real results from companies across every industry visit our library of success stories.
